qPCR Experience - Real-time PCR applications in plant biology, Vrujci spa, Serbia, 15.-16. June 2011

The statellite workshop of Serbian Plant Physiology Society Symposium, was the first qPCR Experience workshop organized abroad. According to the participants' feedback it was a successful combination of theory and practice. The workshop covered basics of qPCR theory, practical guidance on plant sample preparation and quality control, overview of qPCR use in diagnostics and different gene expression quantification methods. Practical part of the workshop included data analysis on computers.

qPCR Experience - Real-time PCR applications in medical research and diagnostics, Ljubljana, 23.-25. March 2011

Fully booked advanced hands-on 3-day qPCR workshop covered real-time PCR theory, practical guidance on sample preparation including blood samples, single cell qPCR analysis, HRM analysis of DNA polymorphisms, quality control in diagnostic laboratories as well as hands-on lab work and data analysis sessions.

The qPCR workshop featured guest specialists/lecturers prof. dr. Kristina Gruden (NIB), and dr. Vida Stegel (OI) experienced researchers in the fields of gene expression studies, HRM analysis, quality control in diagnostic laboratories and medical diagnostics. Their expert and practical experience was a major contribution to the applied orientated workshop.
